12/28/2023 0 Comments Safest cue splitter![]() ![]() So 8-pin 16awg => this splitter => power the 8-pin on the gpu and 6-pin riser average watt per card 90w. I'd use these spliters to power each card + riser. Of the current 8 cables I have now rated to support 400w ea, I'd never achieve that rating. Even if they were in stock, do I really want 12x bulky cables? I would just order more pcie wires, but out of stock, and parallel doesn't have a dual 6+2 cable. Server psus are cheap enough that I could upgrade to a 900w on 120v, and the 600w would be a 67% load. That being said, once upgraded to the more efficient cards, I plan to power 6x gpus on the server psu, with estimated consumption of 526w (software), we'll call that 600w to be safe, which is 80% load of 750w. I'm in the slow process of selling off my old 1000 series cards and upgrading to 2000 series cards since my 3000 series preorders are still pending since Janurary. So to be safe, we'll call that 450w, but well within reason. Each riser has its own dedicated 6-pin and each gpu its own dedicated 8-pin, exactly how any setup should be. Currently a 750w Platinum psu is powering 4x cards, which is drawing 388w (software). So I'm forced to use some sort of splitter. To sum it up, I can't order anymore 16awg pcie power cables from parallel miner. Extensive trolling, profanities and trash posts will not be tolerated.
